UTOPIA creates a moment for us to be angry so we can inspire each other to break the norms that society forces onto us, release our anger at these injustices, and bravely instead create our own moments of freedom - together. We recognize how both Mindanao and Kashmir are heavily militarized by the fascist governments of both India and Philippines so we weaponize our song UTOPIA as a way to create alliances and solidarity globally to uplift their resistance by mobilizing direct actions through bridging our beloved community of artists, organizers, and educators.
Stand With Kashmir is a Kashmiri diaspora-driven independent, transnational, grassroots movement committed to standing in solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh (henceforth referred to as “occupied Kashmir” or “Kashmir”) in ending the Indian occupation of their homeland and supporting the right to self-determination of the pre-partition state of Jammu and Kashmir.
A local to global advocacy network that amplifies the calls to action of frontline environmental and human rights defenders in Mindanao, Philippines. Liyang Network envisions a future where all communities can pursue their economic, social, and cultural development free from exploitation. We believe that applying the particular knowledge developed by grassroots communities in the Philippines is essential to realizing this vision. As members of the local and international community, we understand that all struggles for environmental protection are interconnected and that global movements for the defense of land and self-determination can draw inspiration from the struggles in the Philippines.
